Kelsie Clark Massey | Music + Lyrics, Music DirectionKelsie Clark Massey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and film from the University of Kansas in 2008. Shortly after college, she began her voice over career in the Kansas City area with help from her unforgettable mentor, Don Martin, and has been doing voice over work ever since. Kelsie toured for 7 years as a dueling piano bar player from KS to CA. She trained in sketch comedy and stand up comedy while living in LA. After that time she settled back down in KC in 2013, and started teaching at The Culture House that fall where she directed & music directed shows, taught theatre classes and private lessons for 5 years. Kelsie took a break from teaching in late 2018 to welcome her son Reginald in to the world. Her husband, Andy, is a mental health co-responder with Johnson County mental health. They enjoy music together as a family writing songs and leading worship. Kelsie also has a passion for reading and writing poetry. Kelsie currently travels as a professional musician.
She has been speaking out against human trafficking, against legalizing prostitution and for protecting and supporting women rights for many years. There are several documentaries, films, articles, books and organizations speaking up about these things but there has yet to be a musical, until now. Kelsie’s hope is that JAMMED will be a piece of art that ignites a fire in the spectators to educate themselves and join the fight to support, empower, protect and love women well. |

Florese "Flo" Nelson | HaileyFlorese Marie, A Kansas City, Kansas born and raised singer and songwriter, got her start early in music. After watching the life biography of Billie Holiday (Lady Sings the Blues) she was bitten by the bug and love of music. Florese knew from that moment on that music was where her heart lived. While training with the award winning Wyandotte singers under the direction of John Richard she honed her first soprano voice. Learning to sing in the genre of Opera, learning how to sing in different languages, how to transition to different styles and so much more.
At 19 Florese wrote, produced and released her first album Poetry in Motion. For years she silently wrote poetry but never shared out of fear of rejection. What if no one understood her. Always being confident in her voice she used this album as a way to sing her poetry with confidence. In that moment she realized although her voice is a mighty gift and talent. Her true gift is her words. Her voice is the vessel God uses to make you listen to what she has to say. Florese went on to travel around the United States performing and sharing her words with the masses. Sharing the stage with Grammy winning artists and perfecting her craft. With albums like Eclectic and Buttefli Kisses you can follow her journey. The ups and downs of life. “The moment music passes my lips I get to touch your heart and I cherish those moments” -Florese Marie 2023 |
