Book by Julie Ewing Music & Lyrics by Kelsie Clark Massey Orchestrations by Richard McCroskey Sometimes the news of the day just won’t leave you and that’s the way it has been for the last several years for songwriter/performer Kelsie Clark Massey. The more she learned about human trafficking, the more she felt called to share what she was learning. Soon the subject matter began to show up in her songwriting, which she shared on social media and caught the attention of writer/director, Julie Ewing. Together they developed JAMMED, thoughts on human trafficking through story, song & spoken word. Based on personal interviews and research, JAMMED tells the story of human trafficking through four women and through them we learn the harrowing details, from grooming, exploitation, rescue, and the hard realities of life after being trafficked. We aim to shed light on the growing epidemic of human trafficking on both the national and local levels, allowing an easy entry point into a difficult topic.
